1、 Product Introduction
PV-FC-180 is an Application Sensor launched by Extreme Networks, belonging to the ExtremeAnalytics/セ series.
It is used to monitor, analyze, and optimize application traffic in enterprise networks, mainly deployed in data centers or large enterprise networks, collecting traffic data through mirroring or GRE tunneling.
2、 Product positioning
Although the name includes "FC", the device is not a traditional network switch, but a specialized analysis hardware.
The main functions include:
Perform deep packet inspection (DPI) on network traffic;
Analyze application performance and user behavior;
Collaborate with Extreme management systems such as ExtremeControl and ExtremeCloud IQ Site Engine;
Output network usage reports to assist administrators in optimizing traffic strategies.
